Dodge National Circuit Finals Rodeo
Jon and I have had a tradition over the last couple of years to go to the DNCFR in Pocatello. We have taken Abby a couple of times because she is such a rodeo fan. This year we decided to take all of the kids. Abby of course loved it! Leann was having allergies through most of it even though we did give her a claritin before. It finally kicked in with about two events left.) Spencer was ok with it as long as he had a snack and could take photos. So all of the pictures you see were taken by him except for the one with him in it. It was really a fun afternoon!

Our semi-annual scrapbook get-a-ways are always looked forward to by us girls. I'm not sure how excited the husbands are about them but they are all supportive and good sports about it. We are so blessed with wonderful husbands!! This spring we went to a church camp in Monarch, Montana. It was so fun to get together with the girls and actually get some scrapbooking done. We love being able to share ideas, tools, and embellishments. Mostly we just love having a relationship with such wonderful women! I am extremely thankful for each one of them!!! All of you girls that have missed, you have to come and join us again!
(Sorry there is no photo of Diana or Aunt Nancy but they left too soon:)
Go Rigby!
This post is a little late because basketball happened during January and February but that is just how " on the ball" I am.

Abby was able to play basketball for a Rigby city league for the second year. She loved it and had a fabulous coach and team mates. Abby's basketball skills have really improve since 3rd grade. We can't wait to see what she can do next year!
Taylor played basketball too and unfortunately they got put on different teams. It was fun to watch them play against each other. There was a couple of games that they played at the same time but on opposite courts. We just sat between the two and tried to keep up with both games. What fun!!!!Tuesday, March 10, 2009
Whats up?
Ok, I know I have been a huge slacker when it comes to keeping our blog up to date but to be honest, we haven't had a ton of interesting stuff going on.
So one of the most exciting things we have had happen to us is basketball at BYU-I and not just basketball.....basketball that our cousin McKay Pearson plays. Our kids and our dad (Grandpa Pearson) is a huge fan! McKay is quite the ball dunking, 3 point maker, purple #3, hot shot. These games are really fun to watch and when you get to go to the vending machine and eat skittles while watching the game, well... that is just icing!!!
So until McKay is done playing for the season , you can find us standing in front of the vending machines in the Hart building getting our snacks just in time to watch the big game!

Fa La La La La La La La Laaaaaa

For years and years and years (even before I came into the Johnston family) it has been a tradition to go Christmas Carolling. It is looked forward to with excitement and dread, depending on the weather and if anyone is bringing treats! Thanks to Heather we got some photos of the carolling for the first time in my Johnston life. We are as good as any church choir with just a tad more excitement. Anna even had a smallish reunion with one of her past 1st graders, Madsen Rinehart. It is really great family time and the kids love it. Hopefully those that have the honor of hearing us sing, enjoy it too. It really is a lost art. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone. We love you!

Who needs cable TV?

Ya know how there is never a convenient time to have a major medical, financial, emotional thing happen in your life? Well we discovered that right before Christmas isn't a great time for your washer to die. However there is a bright side to it all. Jon, Spencer, and I went shopping for a new washer the other night and we had intended on purchasing el-cheapo top loader. Unlucky or lucky depending on how you look at it, the sales guy at Home Depot knew a lot about front loading washers and basically we were talked into getting el-cheapo front loader. You know it will "pay" for itself in energy savings over it's life. Personally I would prefer it just right me check right now, but what can you do. Little did we know how much entertainment value a front load washer has. I think now we will just get rid of the TV and watch the clothes wash from now on. The savings are just racking themselves up!!!! The kids got a kick out of it while eating breakfast today. To bad they had to go to school and like learn or something and not stay home to watch the clothes wash. Hmmmm, life is full of tough choices :)
